If you really want a good Halloween costume, then make one yourself. The best costume to wear on Halloween has to be the homemade costume. Here are some examples of really funny costumes.

You can always go as a Raggedy Ann, and this is how. First you need to do some shopping, or if you can find these things in your closet even better. Look for a dress in a polka dot or fancy print and get a see through apron and put it over the dress. Look for some red stockings or tights and a black slip to go on your shoes. By a mop head, and it is for the best if it was new, since it is going on your head and dye it red, and put a big red bow on it as well. Make some freckles on your cheeks as well and you are a Raggedy Ann.

Another great Halloween costume, the one that you can make at home off course, is a prisoner. But the one from the old movies, remember?

You need to get a white suit and put some black tape around to make a proper jail suite. Get an old hat, or just make one from paper, but make it in stripes again to be consistent, and for the end the best part, you need to make a chain and a ball attached to your foot. Remember the time when we all needed to come up with a costume for Halloween and make it ourselves. Those were the homemade costumes you needed to put together yourself, and sure the costumes were not that elegant or expensive and smart but they were more funny, creative and scary. Your whole budget was actually your own closet. If you are still longing for those times, here are some ideas.

The best one ever is the homemade costume of Jelly Beans, seriously people have won awards on this costume and it is fairly easy to make. You need to find a big plastic bag, some colored balloons, a ribbon, and some tights and a black shirt.

You make little holes in the bottom of the bag for your feet, put your legs through and start placing the balloons in. Make sure that you can extend your arms out. You might need some help when finishing the filling and when done let your friend tie the bag with a ribbon. And viola, you got yourself a homemade costume of Jelly Beans.

The next is the old time favorite, a witch costume. It might not be like the original but be sure that it will be unique and creative. All you need are some old black clothes and some black material to make a witch hat. To make a hat, you can find some old one, cover it with black material, and make a spike for a pointy hat. That is easy to do, just place the material on the edges and sew it on the top making a small spike. Don’t forget the broom off course, the older it looks the better. If you have a black cat, or your neighbor has one, take him along.

If you have some old, washed out jeans, you can go as a farmer, get some old white t-shirt, and if you have some of the gardening tools, like a shovel that would be great.

The second category might be more of the ordinary kind but not less adorable. I will have to mention the Superman suit or if you are more into Star Wars you can choose between the Princess Leia costume for your baby girl and a Stormtrooper or a Jedi Knight costume for your baby boy. The Shrek costume is really funny, but if you are looking for an amazingly cute costume then the New Plush Lil’ Stinker is the right choice. For the end you can always choose between the Strawberry, Pumpkin or a Lion Suite.

It’s Halloween and you still do not have this year’s costume to wear at the party. Then what you need are some ideas for a last minute Halloween costume and these can be done in just 60 seconds.
